From Stefano Albertini Mussini

Newyorkers, you have two more chances to see this jewel of a film (next sat and sun) at the Tribeca Film Festival. Written by Erri de Luca, directed by Edoardo Ponti, starring Enrico Lo Verso and Nastassia Kinsky, produced by Paola Porrini Bisson and Silvia Bizio. It’s 26 minutes of sheer poetry of the words and of the images.

It is featured as part of a program of shorts from all over the world. 3 of them are actually also very beautiful. Here’s the program description from the TFF website:
“A young girl battles with body image and enters the world of eating disorders, where worth rises as weight falls, in Likeness. Fifteen-year-old Klara is Eating Lunch with four others at the Eating Disorder Clinic under the supervision of nurses, but they have only thirty minutes to finish their meal. In Wings, Christopher prepares for one of the most important concerts of his career knowing that he cannot make any mistake. On a sweltering hot day, pregnant Maria’s loving-kindness practice is tested by work schedules, mechanical failures and complex human relationships conspiring against a desperately needed cooling dip in The River. The Cup Reader follows a woman renowned for her mystical seeing and matchmaking as she reads the fortunes of clients who must choose between love or marriage. Tonight, Sophie will play the violin in the school concert and wants desperately for her mother to be there to see her shine in Ina Litovski. A vow to climb a summit in the Italian Alps becomes the challenge of a lifetime for a man and a woman recovering from open-heart surgery in The Nightshift Belongs to the Stars. “
